See the _README.txt file for full credits and instructions. All the timelines are in a single project so all you need to do is import the project file into Liberation. Use the timeline selection panel to cycle through all the 4 entries.
If the timeline selection panel isn’t open, use the 3 bar icon on the timeline itself :
Please note that for most of these I have included a very degraded version of the audio - if you want the full quality audio, links have been provided in the readme file.
oh wow that was really cool! thanks for sharing seb!!! those lasershows are fantastic, i was able to experiment with the project a bit and convert the lasershow into a laser show for 3 lasers (thats how many i have) and it looked incredible, wow! hope to see more epic shows in the future
is there a “simple” way to convert these shows to a different number of lasers? i just kinda deleted all the zones and put many zones in each of my 3 lasers, until i had all the beam zones of the original shows 11 lasers, now crammed into just 3 lasers. (yep that caused it to flicker sometimes, so i adjusted some of the clips to make it filicker less)
never the less, i defenetely learned something looking into these shows and that was really fun!
Charlemagne Magboo`s Bass cannon was super satisfyng! that was my personal favourite, it has so much PUNCH!
I’m really glad you enjoyed the shows - and great to hear you’ve been experimenting with them!
One thing I would strongly recommend : avoid stacking lots of overlapping zones onto a single laser. As you noticed, it tends to create flicker because the laser has to draw too many separate zones in one frame.
But more importantly, it can become really confusing and potentially dangerous - you might think you’ve muted a zone, but another overlapping zone is still running underneath. It’s much safer and clearer to reassign the zones properly rather than layering lots of zones on top of each other.
My approach would be to go through the timeline and reassign the zones for each clip manually so that the content is distributed sensibly across your three lasers. One quick time-saver is that you can press the Group button and reassign zones for all clips in that group at once:
You can also use the timeline scrub feature to visualise each part of the show and pause it while you work. Just be careful - when you use scrub, the playback is effectively frozen on that frame. That means any beams will stay on continuously, so be careful where the lasers are pointing - hot beams can start burning things surprisingly quickly.
I feel like this would be a really good video tutorial so I’ll add it to the list.
hey, sure, i adjusted the zones to fit my 3 lasers, and i changed some of the clips to either reduce flicker, or add more strobe speed, could i check ur versin out too?
@Simon, I’ll either send ya,publicly post, or post on the clip share category that @Seb is surely going to publish any day , the winner file I was working on, or an original 3-laser I’m working on. I spent hours duplicating clips and assigning to lasers 1, 3, and 5, and finding appropriate alternative clips that had more action to make up for the reduction in laser count and realized I should be spending this time on my own projects.. I’ll have something for 3 lasers to you soon regardless..
I have yet to correctly utilize groups as Seb suggested for laser selection which is probably why it was taking me so long..
