Upcoming release - testers required

Hi everyone,

Just a very quick update - I’m working super hard on the upcoming release and there is a LOT that has been fixed / refined / added, so I’m looking for volunteers who can help me to test it over the next couple of weeks.

It needs general testing of laser output but also the new undo system, copy / paste, and other application things. Also :

  • PONK - integration with TouchDesigner and MadLaser
  • Depence visualiser
  • IDN (anyone with a Helios Pro?)
  • any laser controller! I’ve completely rewritten every single laser implementation (I know!).
  • custom MIDI config
  • MTC / Artnet TC

Even if you can’t do any of these specific thing the new build will still require proper testing.

If you’re up for this please add a comment below, along with which features and hardware you can test, along with your OS (will be Mac first, sorry). Please only respond if you can devote a reasonable amount of testing effort in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Yes! I sorely need MTC, so I would be able to test this thoroughly for a good while

2x etherdream DACs on the network
Windows 10 Pro

I have pretty bad issues trying to use audio at all, I hope I can help test and get these resolved - will make a separate thread to report this

i have ordered a IDN adapter for my exisiting Helios

in the meanwhile i can test with USB helios, Etherdream

on Windows 10 and 11

I can help with general testing & custom MIDI config.
I have a MacBook Pro (2019) i9, 32GB ram.

Running:

  • 2x 15W 40kkps w/ Helios
  • 1x 12W 25kkps w/ Helios
  • 1x laserbar over DMX & Artnet 2Wx6 = 12W
  • APC40 MK2

I can help with testing custom MIDI config and Artnet. I have several different midi boards I’d like to integrate as well as tie Liberation into Artnet using lightjams. I have 4 etherdream4 controllers and 5 lasers to test with. Windows 10 and windows 11. I will have lots of time to test over the next two weeks.

I am happy to test the items quoted above and the controller code update with ED4. I have some free time for the next 3 weeks due to canceled gigs. :frowning:

MacOS 12 and 15 plus Windows 10 if needed (prefer not).

  • APC40 mk2
  • I’ve used the following controllers through Chataigne and the MIDI send/receive system and really want to extensively test the new MIDI system via Chataigne.
    • LaunchPad (active in my current rig)
    • Launch Control XL 3 (active)
    • LaunchPad Pro

Seb as you know I am a complete newby but if there is anything I can do to help I would be happy to do so. As one who has retired at a certain age I have plenty of time on my hands and I will be concentrating really hard on Liberation for the next month!

Hello i am interested i am on Mac m1pro chip with 16 tb ram , on Tahoe.26.2 i am interested in beta testing , we need custom midi mapping that is easier for users to understaand !!! , having a right clck and being able to assign clips to midi is the easiest route there has to be a way !!!

Mainly Custom MIDI config and MTC / Artnet TC. I’m starting to replace my Helios DAC’s with the Pro so I may also be able to help with IDN.
