The 'Dreamrack'

While I had the lid off I thought I would snap a pic and share here…
This is what I refer to as my Dreamrack, I built it last year to connect to Liberation. I have a similar rack that I’ve used for a few years with 4 controllers that work with a piece of older software, and that I reconfigured recently to have 4x Laserdock instead, and I can quickly swap it out between controllers should I have the need to use older laser software.
So I built this one with 4x etherdreams in the identical form.
It has powercon in/out local Start button, power and bi colour laser status indicator LEDs and the tray contains a switch, a smartshow arnet node and 4 etherdreams plus my own hardware for taking care of e-stop. The board at the top centre is my stop controller, it takes data/stop combined in, and passes it out so several similar racks could be daisy chaned - though currently I have just the one. I have built it ready to accept another switch and another 4 Etherdreams, so its ready to expand. It still uses ILDAs and each output has a dual ILDA out board thats attached to the front panel, The stop signal passed along these so each one has 2 individual and isolated stop outs (ustilising ILDA interlock pins 4 & 17) and the front panel is already cut for adding the extra ILDA outs when I add more Etherdreams.
The data/stop out currently allows it to daisychain to my other rack so a single data/stop feed can come from foh to stage and start/stop 8 controllers (or more whan I build more  )
It works a treat
