Coming this weekend should be more stock of etherdreams, including some in external housings. There are a good few people asking for this version so hopefully this will satisfy, and going forward they will be stocked permanently alongside the bare PCBs.
Also today I have been working on my 3 way Etherdream switch and I have a new updated version in the pipeline. The first version was a bit of a quick throw together to get something that would work for Danny at Reach. Now Ive had more time to think about how it can be improved I have made some changes that will make it easier to use and easier to fit. Firstly, and most importantly, the initial versions would auto switch from ILDA to internal, but you had to manually (using a button on the back) select which internal controller you wanted to use - Etherdream or a legacy controller. Now whenever the Etherdream is active in Liberation it will switch over automatically and as before have an LED for indication on the rear panel. The other major change is in the power supply. Though I have yet to fully implement this into the revised design, It will now run entirely from a single +12V feed. This reduces wiring and should make the whole thing more robust.
So I hope that this appeals to some people - Im looking at you Andy Stentiford and Tom Vallis ![]()
I just need to finalise the psu and redraw the PCB and I will be getting some ordered so expect them here in the next 2 weeks.
