Request: "DISARM ALL" controller and MIDI mapping

I would like to request that the “DISARM ALL” feature be mapped to the APC40 mk2 and available as a custom MIDI mapping. This way it could act as a “blackout” button in case of minor issues rather than having to trigger an e-stop or relying on the master brightness control.

I suggest the “SESSION” button on the APC40 mk2, as it is conveniently bright red and easy to reach instinctively. Having it available as custom MIDI mapping would enable binding to a lighting console, wireless controller for a roaming safety officer, etc.

Good idea, I was gonna map arm and disarm all to the record / session buttons on the top right, that should work, right?

In the meantime you can hit the Escape key to disarm all, CMD-SHIFT-A to arm all.

one comment re this (that I have been meaning to mention for a while)
the stop all clips button on the APC does not act as a blackout in the trad sense. If a clip has a fade out then this executes when you ‘stop’ I think the stop all clips control should be an instant blackout. Not only is this v useful in live busking but an essential as far as im concerned.

Could the “arm all” be a shift-function like shift-record (or shift-play)? That way it prevents re-arming with fat fingers in the event of a blackout and ensures arming is deliberate.

I would hope to have both. I think of “stop all clips” as a graceful end between scenes to finish animations including fades, whereas blackout should be more of a soft e-stop.
