Would be great to have a midi mappable STOP ALL CLIPS function. I’m using an older MIDI controller to interact with Liberation, which works great. The only critical functionality that I feel is missing is the STOP ALL CLIPS button. On my midi controller i can’t see which touchpad is active, therefore making it harder to know which clip is active.
Hi Ruben,
Not at my computer right now, but I feel like there’s a stop all clips button at the bottom right of the clip triggering buttons on the interface.
All the best,
Amos
Hi,
You are correct, there is a button for it. My suggestion here is to have that exact button to be Midi controllable ![]()
Hi Ruben, and welcome to the forum!
Are you currently using the MIDI send/receive system for mapping your controller? And are you working through something like BIOME or Chetagne to handle the values? I haven’t personally tried that approach, but I know quite a few people here on the forum have had good results with it. My guess is there might be a way within those systems to set up a button that fires off MIDI note-off messages for all clips at once.
Because of the historic reasons for MIDI send/receive (which was designed to record and play back shows rather than to map onto controllers) some core functionality is missing. I hope to rectify this in future by allowing you to map custom controllers much more flexibly.
Hope you’re enjoying it so far!
Best,
Seb
Which controller are you using?
Hi Seb,
Thanks for sharing this idea with me. It sounds like it should be technically possible to do this. I will try it out and give an update on this thread.
the controller I currently use is: Akai MPD26
Which buttons, sliders, etc are working at this moment with Liberation?
