Hi, I see an on/off button since the latest version. Will it be possible to map it with MIDI in future versions? It’s really cool that this button exists!
Hi Pierre!
It’s currently mapped to the USER button on the APC 40. I’ve just updated the user guide to reflect this.
all the best,

Can the zone delay controls (all of them) be added to the MIDI send-receive system? This is still the biggest deficiency in my busking setup because scrolling through an APC encoder trying to set specific chase values is too imprecise. I want to map buttons on a Launchpad to specific delay values (2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, etc) and pattern types so I can quickly toggle between different movements of the same active cue. We spoke about this 2 years ago.
Hi Kevin,
Yes, I remember you describing parts of your setup before, and I can definitely see why being able to jump straight to specific delay values would be useful. Trying to dial in exact chase timings with an encoder while performing isn’t ideal.
The slightly awkward bit is that the current MIDI send/receive system is really a legacy system at this point. It’s been a useful stop-gap for exposing extra controls, but it isn’t really the direction I want MIDI mapping to go in long term. What I really need to do is finish the new MIDI mapping system, which should make it much easier to map things like specific delay values or behaviours directly to buttons.
Because of that, I’m trying not to keep extending the old system too much. Time spent adding things there is time taken away from getting the newer, more fully designed MIDI mapping system finished.
More generally, prioritising features across Liberation is always a bit of a balancing act. I’m constantly weighing up different requests and workflows, and trying to focus development time where it will move the software forward the most.
I do appreciate you sharing how you’re using it though. Real-world workflows like this are genuinely helpful when designing the next systems properly. Your use case definitely fits with what the new MIDI mapping system should make possible.
All the best,
Seb
