Incorrect BPM Reading on Timeline Mode

Whenever I import a clip into timeline mode, the BPM is always set to 120, regardless of whether or not this is correct. I for some reason was able to change it previously, but now I am having issues changing it from 120 to 142. Whenever my tempo is set to ‘Timeline’, I cannot change the BPM.

Hi @LucasW and welcome!

When using the timeline you need to set the tempo on the timeline bar itself. And make sure tempo map is off. (Unless you have multiple tempos)

Hope this helps!

Ah yes, you were right. That fixed the issue. Now, on a second note, trying to create a timeline show for songs with a changing BPM… is there any way to do this in timeline, where the BPM changes after a certain queue?

There sure is! Turn on TEMPO MAP in the timeline. Then you can add tempos by right clicking on the top bar in the timeline.

(I still need to write up the timeline section in the manual so apologies for that!)

AH thank you very much! I will have a go at this later.

was wondering this too, very cool. On another note I was thinking if you could automate the effects similar to the style that Ableton has with line drawing automation that would be so sick and easy!

Last time I used Ableton was Live 9, so I have no idea. I figured out timelines, it is really easy to set up and make timeline shows now!
