Can the timeline be synced to midi clock?
I use a utility to create a midi clock signal out of an audio source.
This I use to set the tempo in liberation.
But timeline has it’s own tempo.

Not currently possible but there will be a tempo map in the future.
So for now, you need to know the exact tempo of the music. If it’s electronic music then it at least will likely be a round number! You need to play the music outside of liberation* and use the tap tempo function until it is perfectly in sync.
Once you figured out the tempo of the music, change the tempo in the timeline itself accordingly.

Make sure the clock source is set to timeline in the tempo window

You will then need to adjust the start point of the music track in the timeline until it syncs to the beat.

* (If you play the music within the liberation timeline it will constantly stretch as the tempo changes so you can’t do it this way)
(If your music is not a fixed tempo then the only way to do it would be to play it from inside a DAW like Logic Pro, use the DAW’s functions to map the tempo onto audio, and then send a MIDI clock to liberation. )
