hey friends!
ive been using Liberation for a few months now! and have been enjoying making some timecoded shows for my own enjoyment, but my clipdeck grows larger and larger, does this maybe depreciate performance? im running liberation on my gaming PC (rtx 4090, 5800x3D, 32GD DDR4) and i feel like my lasers “stutter” a bit compared t when i first started using liberation, how is liberation intended to be used? am i supposed to just grow my clipdeck into infinity? is there a trick? or should i start a completely new project? but then i wont have my clips anymore right? i kinda like taking a clip i made from a previous timecoded show and edit them a bit to fit the new song, whats the intended workflow for liberation? thanks!
Hi Simon!
It shouldn’t affect performance too much but it is definitely worth keeping it under control!
First of all check out the tips for organising your clip deck here :
Also see exactly how loading and saving works :
In general, I keep clips organised by project or timeline and constantly import / export the project that I’m using.
Good luck getting organised!

Maybe it would be a good idea to allow multiple clip decks per project. So for example each timeline could be one clipdeck, another clipdeck for projections, another clip deck for live club LJs and so on. Performance might be improved by just rendering the previews of the currently dispayed clip deck.
Hi @MWSysTech
Each project can have its own clipdeck. I’m pretty sure the only “limitation” is having multiple clip decks within a single project that has multiple timelines.
Just export your .cpdk as you like, and import it where you want to use it.
