How do YOU utilize "Groups"?

I am working on combining and organizing clip decks that have so graciously been provided and shared by competition winners @Lwsfin @Charlemagne_Magboo , @cdilija @Hagop_Heath-Matossia, as well as @seb 1.0.2 deck , the deck shared by @Eyes2theSkies , and some of my own (to be shared with everyone after approvals by those who shared their clips).

I categorized by: Still shapes (only the first 23, all others have movement), dot(s), line(s), lines made of dots without connecting light between each dot, connected lines, sine waves, circles made of dots not connected, full circle connected, triangles, squares, fast-moving clips (some duplicates), multiple shapes/beams being projected at once, complex/animated clips, and finally clips made for the red (hold for output).

The red is the only one with a real purpose. Otherwise, green is complex/animated, orange is fast-moving / multiple shapes, purple is squares, triangles, circles, and sine wave, and blue is dots, lines, and static (still) shapes.

What purpose do you give to your clips by identifying groups? Both on limited clipdecks used for a single project, as well as master clipdecks.

Thanks in advance for sharing your use cases!

EDIT- I seem to have skipped the user manual section on groups, which gives this use for groups other than separating by clip types:

oh that looks really cool, looking forward to trying your clipdeck out, once you have the approval of all the creators, my clipdeck is a messy blob of all different colors and nthings properly sorted :smiling_face_with_tear: :joy:

I dont use groups much, but when i do it usually is the same clip (with or without small changes) but assigned to different lasers.

That’s actually a really great use for groups!!! This is what I’m looking for! All the ideas!

For ut depends on the show, how many lasers and if Im also doing graphics.

If Im doing both beams and graphics:

Group 1 (Teal) Main Beam Rig - No inversion
Group 2 (Orange) Main Rig Alternate - ODD/Even inversions or Left / Right Inversions
Group 3 (Red) Full Rig (matched beams and graphics) OR Stomp cues for like Strobos.
Group 4 (Green) Canvas 1 (Green for graphics)
Group 5 (Purple or Violet) Canvas 2 OR (Violet for Video) Hybrid video / laser mapping cues.

If you have a low head count/ beam zones

  1. Statics - to. Be supplemented with FX
  2. Movement/ 2 layers
  3. Gr. 3-5 All flash groups with different fade times. 1/3,2/3, 1 beat delay for fast stuff. Flip xy, retrig on-Off. Chase on/off
