When I click a “GRP”, some of the “Beam x” are flashing (blinking), some are disabled (off) but some are also lit (on). What’s the difference between these?
Thank you very much!

When you activate a Group button you can set the zones for all the clips in that group.
You’ll see the zone buttons (BEAM 1 - 8, CANVAS 1, etc) light up as follows :
While a group button is active, you can press a zone button to activate and deactivate that zone in all the clips in the group.
If you’re using the APC40 to do this, you’ll need to press and hold the group button while you toggle the zones. If you’re using the mouse, a single click will activate the group button, and then click off it to de-activate.
The exact same system works for the X/Y flip buttons.
(Also when the group button is active, any clip you press will now be assigned to that group. It’s quicker than using the clip settings menu).
You can use the group system to keep track of which clips are going to which lasers, for example, group 1 could be the first 8 lasers, group 2 could be the second 8 lasers.
There’s a bit about it in the Getting Started part of the manual, but I should really add this more detailed explanation elsewhere!
Hope this helps

Cool thank you for that detailed explanation. It makes sense now for me ![]()
At first I thought, I could find it here, but it was empty: Clip groups | Liberation User Manual Maybe thats a good space ![]()
This has now been added to the manual ![]()
