Clip merge

Is there a way to merge multiple clips into one?

Is there a way to take separate shapes in the same clip and output them to separate beams in the same clip?

I was wondering how to create something like the attached look, in less steps and / or taking up one clip only. Currently I need to use 3 clips with separate setting to get something like this and need to press 3 clips at once for it to be whole. Really just to create cues with different looks on each beam.

Alternative solution is using the canvas system and having the clip span across all 3 lasers.

Thank You. I’ll give it a go!

As @lightboy mentioned you can do this kind of thing with the canvas system, even though it wasn’t really designed for that.

I am considering other ways to do this, and have a couple of good ideas that may make their way into the next release! Watch this space

Also I’m not sure exactly of your effect but I would think that you may be able to do it with two clips and mirror the first one in the x axis to get the opposite side? Just in case you missed that functionality

Hope this helps!

I would also love to see this!
So we can prepare “scenes” and don’t have to be so busy when changes happen fast in the music.

An idea could be “copying/merging all nodes and their connections within each clip” into a new one when I want to “save” the multiple running clips into a new one, or just launching all three clips when pressing a specific “multiple”-clip button. :man_shrugging:

You can do clip merging with midi triggers. I do it with my step sequencer. I’ve tried, unsuccessfully, to use the sustain pedal for gated notes/ clip triggering. I’ll subtly throw out that as a feature request.
