You can copy/paste a single clip in the timeline, but I would like to be able to select multiple clips across tracks and paste them together. A lasso/box selector would be nice too instead of ctrl-clicking each clip.
Also, when copy/pasting single clips using ctrl-c and ctrl-v, the duplicated clip sometimes gets lost behind other clips if there is already something in front of the clip you are duplicating. To fix this, it would be helpful to switch the selection to the newly- created clip in order to easily move it around.
On Mac, use the option key to lasso timeline clips. The only thing that has been fiddly for me with Liberation is the process to clone clips on the timeline. My procedure is lasso clips with OPTION. Release key. Hold shift. Establish connection with the clips (eg moving them) then add ALT key. They should clone and drag like you’d expect. If there is a better way, someone please let me know. I’d be content with doing away with SHIFT and experiencing ALT DRAG like the clip deck.
Thanks for your kind words @HenryD! Hopefully the suggestions work for you, but I wanted to add that while it’s reliable and usable, the timeline needs some refinement and I look forward to spending some time working on it in the new year.
