Stomp mode

I regularly use Ableton Link (or other sync technics like MIDI) to always stay in sync with the music.
To slow down movements to fit a track’s mood without losing all clips a “STOMP” feature (like in lighting consoles) would be nice. Where a slider (crossfader?) stops all movements of all clips. When the beat drops I raise the fader to the opposite side to move them again.

I know I can use the “Multiplier” function, but this works only when I am running “tempo source” on “live”.

So it would be cool, when I dont have to leave the “synced” version. (or at least be able to switch (with a button) from Ableton link to “live” - and back to “Ableton link” while keeping the very last speed value caught in “Ableton link”.)

(there is also a small bug when switching from “Ableton link” back to “live”: the play button is on “stop” and not moving, even when it was on “play” before. Version 0.8.x

I found that the “Bank” button can activate the multiplier, but how can I switch the sync modes? I know there are more sync modes, so maybe a back and forth between the last used sync mode and live would be great!

Thank you in advance and have a nice day/night

Ah good catch re switching between timing sources, I’ll take a look at that!

Honestly tempo multiplier needs a complete rethink, the way it’s implemented now means it can only work with the live tempo. But I have some ideas of how to improve it so that it works on any time source.

Some great ideas there, thanks for your insight!
