Request: Effects per zone

I typically work in 2-3 color “palettes” since I am running visuals, lights, and lasers, solo. It would be nice to be able to apply effects to particular zones, just like you already can with groups. Then I could have the same shapes on all the lasers with one clip but they could be different colors via effects.

My current workaround requires duplicating clips to a second group, having a colorize effect per group, sending each group to a different zone(s), and launching the clips per group simultaneously.

Ex: 2 colorize effects pink/blue, zone 1 & 3 = pink, zone 2 & 4 = blue, that could also send out the same colors via artnet zones to my lighting software, which could forward to video so everything matches and changes at the same time with just 2 knobs.

I was using my APC-40 thru TouchDesigner, sharing different sections of the controller to different apps but now it is dedicated to Liberation…

This would also be useful for symmetrical shows with an odd number of beams.

Ex: 3 lasers, center only does Y movement effects while left and right can do X & Y movements (with one of them X flipped) to keep everything symmetrical.

Seconded! I love projecting on lots of different objects and materials and the option of configuring effects per zone would be very helpful

Too bad the MPC40 doesn’t have motorized faders
