I’m new to the this and am trying to dial in best settings too.
Default setting are very close ,in my opinion, with my setup of 6w OPT but I have not yet tried my lasers in a proper venue with a long projection range. I think this will change a little when you move to larger venues. I’ve only tried calibrating with 4-5m throw distance. 40k @ 8 degrees is a super small projection and I don’t know how it’s looks over 30m to be honest. I’d suggest getting a projection distance calculator and ask yourself these questions:
How far are you projecting?
What type of scanners/speed?
What type of content are you projecting- beam/graphic/ simple or complex?
What size projection do want?
I’m sure once you answer these questions, you’ll get some better settings.

Les réglages par défaut sont très proches, à mon avis, avec ma configuration OPT 6 W, mais je n’ai pas encore testé mes lasers dans une salle de projection standard avec une longue portée. Je pense que cela changera un peu avec les grandes salles. J’ai seulement essayé de calibrer avec une distance de projection de 4 à 5 m. 40k à 8 degrés, c’est une projection très petite et, pour être honnête, je ne sais pas à quoi cela ressemble à plus de 30 m. Je vous suggère de vous procurer un calculateur de distance de projection et de vous poser les questions suivantes :
À quelle distance projetez-vous ?
Quel type de scanner/vitesse ?
Quel type de contenu projetez-vous : faisceau/graphique/simple ou complexe ?
Quelle taille de projection souhaitez-vous ?
Je suis sûr qu’une fois que vous aurez répondu à ces questions, vous obtiendrez de meilleurs réglages.

Je parle un petit peu de français and can get the gist but I’m not really fluent enough to pick up the nuances. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to support all languages but for now I can only really help in English, sorry!
Regarding scanner settings - honestly you shouldn’t need to do anything.
The Default setting is absolutely fine for virtually all atmospheric beam effects. The only thing you should adjust is the Colour shift (blank shift) to get rid of “tails”. More about this :
If you want to be really perfectionist you can adjust the colour calibration although this is yet to be documented and honestly I almost never bother and it’s fine.
For graphical effects, it’s worth tweaking a bit to find a good setting for the style of work you’re doing, but the Graphics setting is a good start.
A note about PPS scan rate
Liberation generates its point stream on the fly, so it can speed up the scanners without changing the point rate; it just spreads out the points. This is what happens when you adjust the Speed settings.
So things like “40kpps at 8º” becomes a bit meaningless with liberation. You certainly shouldn’t ever need to adjust the point rate itself.
