Req 1: is it possible to get the random node to have seed change everytime the clip is triggered?
Req 2: Now that we have clip credits, it would be very helpful to be able to label them and have the name show on the clip deck - my current use case for this is that my DMX-based clips all look pretty much alike on the preview, and this would allow me to distinguish them. Perhaps, this can be extended to showing the labels in the timeline where each clip is used rather than its index.
Req 3: It would simplify some of my clips a lot, as I like to create symmetry with my DMX fixtures, if we could flip an axis (eg. X) through the DMX zones setting; instead of having to create two clips for each fixture, I can just have one operate both.
There’s the ‘orientation’ but I guess this rotates rather than flip, if I’m to be correct; and there’s Width/Height multipliers, which are currently positive floats (perhaps these can be set manually to their negative value to have this effect, but I haven’t tested ), so maybe this would be an easy way.

If you want to retrig a single clip with a new seed on every trigger, I’d say no. You’d make multiple clips with different seeds.
If you attach an oscillator to the seed node connector, it should start oscillating through the various seeds on a continuous basis. Turn off retrigger on the clip, you will get a random seed every time.

How are you making your DMX clips? By that I mean, when I make one, I’ll drop a triangle creator for example, for access to the brightness, pan and tilt, and then play with DMX nodes. You can colour the triangle to match your output, morph it to another shape or make a simple gobo from the other shapes. While this won’t get you a verbatim graphic to your gobo wheel, it should be enough to distinguish quickly. I would suggest making your gobo in Inkscape and use the shape creator node but last time I tried this (several months ago) the shape creator node would not put out the brightness on my dmx spot.

Your fixture should have invert options on it. Set your invert there.
