I will be playing around on both platforms now, since I noticed I can indeed run the 3D visualizer mostly smoothly (unless there is significant microphone input on a patch) on my extremely old Macbook Air, but only after I removed the like 8 standard lasers that are set by default and narrow the number to 1. The fact that the Macbook was useless discouraged me at the beginning, so it might be a thought to ask for how many lasers you want to start out with when first launching the software.
Hi Seb, while I’m working on the timeline, the audio is crackling and shifting. I don’t have that with the old 0.6 version. So it’s related to this one. Thanks
Thanks for letting me know, I did make a change where I check more often if the audio is in time, the glitches are when it re-times the audio. If you have a low frame rate this could make it worse.
Eventually I need to reprogram the entire audio engine. Another huge project that no one will notice haha
Can’t seem to get any output after a lot of resetting etherdreams, restarting software, starting with zero lasers, and re-assigning controllers… am I missing something with the update?
Oh one thing to double check - is your tempo source set to TIMELINE? If not then the tempo may be running at a different speed and the audio will be constantly re-timing to stay in sync.
