Hi all, I am doing a 360 style stage show tonight and have 4 lasers on each quadrant. I am wondering if there is an easy way to create an effect or manipulate some of my cues so that they are going laser 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 moving in a circle. Whats the best way to achieve this without manually pressing the zone on/off?
i think this would be a normal chase
i remember one time putting my lasers in a circle in the 3d visualizer and it worked with the normal chases…
Yeah I have made chases on certain cues but I was hoping I could make a button that activates a global chase some how since I have hundreds of cues and don’t want to change them all.
Hi there!
Zone delay / chase effects are a clip setting because I see it as an integral part of how a clip is designed. So there isn’t a global chase override that applies across all clips. I might add something like that in the future, but it would be a bit fiddly for me to implement and probably difficult to make it not confusing. But I’ll give it some thought.
Just a reminder - you can adjust the Zone Delay live while a clip is running. If you’re using an APC40, one of the rotaries controls this directly. It’s super quick to dial in a chase effect on the fly without needing to edit any cues.

Hope the show went well - sounds like an amazing setup!
