E stop for mixed interlocks on Lasercube Ultra's

Hi All (seb), My 1st post on here. New to Liberation & new’ish to lasers (about 6 years) so still feel like a newbie.

I’ll get straight to the point.

I have 2 x 7.5 watt Wicked lasers Ultra Mk1 & 2 x 2.5 Watt Ultra - one is mk1 other mk2.

Mk2 has RJ45 in & out Estop - The mk1’s have the older style 9 pin D sub (in only).

What is out there that can kill all 4 with 1 Estop ?

Is there such a thing ? or do you make one ? and if so , any guides out there ?

Was looking at a potential Estop for the router - as I run all lasers via rj45 via Lasers OS and soon Lberation, but i read that not really an option if the laser is still powered.

Any help in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I am no wiz on electronics, ok at basic stuff, so if there is a paid solution that would be my 1st option.

Thanks in advance

Ged

Hey Ged, welcome,

sorry for the delayed response but this isn’t really very straightforward unfortunately!

The Ultra Mk2 is easy at least - they have an RJ45 interlock system that’s designed for daisy chaining.

But unfortunately your other LaserCubes use an older system with “aviator” style connectors.

I guess with those three you can use the LaserCube 8 port stop splitter :

But make sure they all use the same pin out - some of the older models use a different style.

Hope this helps,

Seb

Thanks Seb

Yes I have already seen the 8 port splitter. So looks like there is no commercially available solution out there.

I will do more digging & see if there is a way to engineer a 1 button solution ?

Thanks for the advice
