Hi, obviously we all have a problem with distance USB connection. My question is: does anybody try or use fiber optic USB extender? I just found this on internet and sems to be good solution for distance to 100m.
That’s why I switched to Etherdreams. If you spend money on fiber usb extender I think EDs are the better choice to spend the money on

We use them for long runs and datacenters. Check out Extron for commercial grade extenders. Be sure to protect your fiber, and run multiple lengths at the same time so you can switch it out if there’s a break or for troubleshooting. It should work well for you, but Stephen is right, plan a path to Etherdreams if possible. Best of luck with it. Let us know how it works out.
