Clip Deck View

Hi @seb
Would be great to have the Clip view in fullscreen mode without all the other windows to have a bigger view while performing a live show.
Additionally it would be good to limit the scroll area to first/last clip and not be able to scroll infinitely.

Hard agree. Would also be handy to be able to be click the clip deck visualiser in order to be able to not have to scroll through all the clips to get through to one on the other side.

Been searching whether this feature has been implemented yet. I cant find anything yet.

Performed live last night (overall Liberation is a AMAZING!) and it would be great to have a much larger clip panel view. So hard to tell what clip I am triggering. Going from memory mainly. Was super jealous of my friend next to me on Resolume with super large clips.

Personally I have no need to keep the 3D, output windows open all the time. Would be happy to close those once setup and fill the screen with clips, timeline, tempo etc

Any plan of more window control in upcoming builds?

Keep up the good work!

On Mac - Hold SHIFT+CMD then use + and - keys. Then CMD+ J to resize your visualiser.

Look into magnification (it is better on Mac IMHO)

Here is a my best case scenario.

Noted, thanks I’ll see what I can do

I’d like to suggest a layout view-snapshot. Ideally 2-3 states with hotkey or softkey toggle.1 for playback, 1 for programming

Good idea, but I think initially I’ll just make the clip deck width adjustable to make sure nothing else breaks

One idea, if it’s possible, @seb-

Make it so you can have the current APC 40 MK2 clip bar view but be able to “Add APC Mini MK2”. And have all the clips populate in their respective assigned places.

Maybe be able to choose the placement of the additional controller?

Eventually yes, that’s the plan! But it’s a huge change, it’ll have to wait until a future version. In the meantime, I’ve made the clip deck width adjustable for the newest test build

All the best,

Seb

Oh and the other thing that might help is that you can create a custom MIDI config file that ignores the scroll position and only displays a fixed set of clips on a particular controller. For example I made a config for the APC mini that only controls the first page of clips. So then I can scroll around on the APC40 and the mini sticks with that first page.

Details should be in the midi config documentation in the MIDI folder - this is a new test version only feature btw.

Hope this helps!
