Are you getting a slow framerate?

[UPDATE]
The latest build (v0.9.4) has changed the openGL emulation for MacOS and it seems to have fixed this issue.

Further to my previous question, I’m wondering is anyone else getting this issue :

Key symptoms :

  • The screen refresh rate slows down to <5fps but the on-screen frame rate still displays as normal (in this case ~50fps).
  • It seems to be related to the 3D view - It goes back to normal when you switch to output view.

I’m only seeing it here on v0.6 but I’ve had reports of it on 0.7 and 0.8 as well.

I would love to get to the bottom of it so any help you can provide would be very gratefully received!

Seb

If you are can you let me know your computer and OS versions please.

OK, similar situation (not a timeline issue) when I try to display something complex like text. Frame rate slowdown when, beside for example have active beam 1,2,3..try do display same on canvas and start flickering.
System Windows 11 Home, AMD Ryzen 7 7730U with Radeon Graphics 2.00 GHz, 16.0 GB (13.8 GB usable) I was thinking to upgrade Memory size.

Yes I’ve been having some issues, I am running Sequoia 15.0.1 w/ 36gb Ram & M3 Pro. I noticed it while trying to use Resolume & Synethesia, which is alot but still in activity monitor im not pushing any resources over 40%.
