Windows Ether Dream connection issues with Windows on 0.9.9 and 1.0.0

I’ve had a few reports of Ether Dream connection issues on Windows with versions 0.9.9 and 1.0.0. There definitely seems to be some kind of problem on certain PCs - though frustratingly I can’t reproduce it on my own Windows setup, which has been completely solid! That makes it pretty difficult to troubleshoot, but my current suspicion is that it might be performance-related.

If you’re running into this issue, I recommend rolling back to version 0.9.6, which appears to be more stable.

Just note that 0.9.6 uses a different machine ID, so if you switch between versions you’ll need to deauthorise in one before reauthorising in the other. Sorry about that

Are these issues that the Ether Dream is recognised, Arms, but then have no output?

Ah I should have been more specific.

If you can see the Ether Dreams in the “available controllers” list, but when you try to connect they immediately go red and never green, that usually points to an IP address issue - typically they’re not on the same subnet.

The issue I’m referring to is different: it’s intermittent, where the Ether Dreams often do connect, but then drop out after a short time and can’t reconnect.
