SVG Creator

Hi @seb

is the SVG creator already working?
I’m not able to get any output.

Can confirm, SVG Creator works
I’ve been abusing it

Could you paste a screenshot of the clip settings and the svg?
Then probably my files seems not working.

@PatHightree

Clip is is an abomination of 10 SVG’s

The creator’s settings aren’t anything special

I cover this in one of the zooms (yes I really need to start keeping a record) but the SVG import needs SVG tiny format.

They also need to have outlines/strokes that are not black.

What are you using to make the svgs? I find Inkscape to be the best option.

Ok, now I see something in Liberation, but there is no output on my laser.
Did I miss something?

I just did a very easy config.

One SVG has red outlines, other svg has white outlines.

When I edit an existing clip and just change the svg, I get output on the laser.
But when I create a new clip nothing get projected.

Are you assigning it to any zones? New clips aren’t assigned to any zones when they are created.

Just coming back to this Seb as I am experiencing this also…
-I’ve created an SVG in inkscape and done the “object to path” bit, then saved it as an SVG (I can’t see tiny svg as an option in the save menu, maybe this is the issue?).
-When I import this SVG file into a new clip, I don’t get any shape generated from the SVG node. However, if I open another clip that uses an SVG node, and I import the new SVG into the existing SVG node, then I get proper output of the new SVG from the node.

HAH figured it out…
the SVG node alone doesn’t output anything no matter what…once I add a Color Change node to it, then it will display properly. So it seems the SVG Shape Creator node needs a Color Change node after it to make the SVG display. Good note to add into the manual wiki

Glad you got it working! But you shouldn’t need a colour changer. Could it be that your SVG has black lines?

(I think Inkscape exports svgtiny as default)
