Request for help testing new website features

Hi everyone,

I am in the middle of some fairly major behind-the-scenes improvements to the Liberation website, and this is a significant step towards launch. Before everything goes public, I would love a bit of help testing the new flow.

One of the biggest changes is that people will now be able to access the Liberation demo straight away, without needing to purchase a licence first. It has been a long-standing goal of mine to make it easier for people to properly explore Liberation before committing, and this finally makes that possible.

Functionally, this “free” state is exactly the same as the old expired licence behaviour. You can create, visualise, load and save shows, but laser and DMX output is disabled. Nothing about what is free versus paid has changed, the difference is only that access to the demo no longer requires a prior purchase.

If you have a friend who might be curious about Liberation and would be willing to help test the new signup flow, please ask them to register here:

This new functionality will go live on to the main server quietly some time before launch, with a proper announcement coming at the launch party. So although it’s not exactly a secret, I would prefer if you could keep it quiet-ish for now.

I just did a quick test with a second email and incog browser, works fine here :slight_smile:

but maybe add a delete account option somewhere, :stuck_out_tongue:

Can I ask that if you forward this to a friend that they put your name in the box that asks “how did you hear about liberation?”
