I found a thread from 3 years ago discussing this but I wanted to surface it again.
I have an upcoming show where I need to do some laser mapping in MadLaser but want to do beam control through Liberation. I’m using Helios DAC so I think my worst case scenario is having to swap between which software is open
Hey @Brian_Dadin! I really like the idea of closer integration with MadMapper / MadLaser, and I’m very much in favour of open protocols and better real-time interchange between tools. That said, there are quite a few other things on my plate that I need to deal with first, so I want to be realistic about priorities and timing.
For the moment, swapping between apps is probably the most practical approach, especially if you’re already comfortable working in both MadLaser and Liberation. Using Helios at least makes that reasonably straightforward.
Out of curiosity, when is the show?
I totally understand the priorities.
The show is Feb 7 but if it goes well I expect we’ll be upselling more clients on it.
