One of my aims is to increase the diversity within this very white, male laser sector.
I have already reached out to a few organisations who share this goal in the wider entertainment industry, and have already invited several diverse and interesting people to the event.

Absolutely love this Seb. Ive long wondered how we could start to increase representation across the laser industry. While this may not be THE ultimate answer, its definitely a good start. Of the hundreds of laserists Ive met, I can count on one hand the number of people who dont look like me… this needs to change.
I, for one, am really excited to see what other cultures and life experience can add to lasering as an artists’ medium. Imagine what deeply African influenced art would look like in laser with its bold colors and abstract patterns, same to be said of uniquely Arab, Asian, or Latin influences…
While my company is absolutely blessed to be trusted by several marginalized groups to help tell their stories, we take great effort to make sure we remain true to culture we are trying to help represent and also actively seek young folks from these same communities to hire, train, and encourage in our preferred medium… its the least we can do given the times.
Diversity is in no way a bad thing. All ships are raised by a rising tide.
