Launchpad X fader function

I ,m not sure if a launchpad X can be used with Liberation but thought it was good to share that Launchpad X has a Fader function wich can be unipolar but also bipolar. I like launchpads because they are widely available , not very expencive and i the fader function on the X is great as it works exactly like a motorized fader that is always in sync with the software. I think from a control point of view next to the APC 40 as extra effects , cue,s or motion control the X can be a great tool for Liberation. I couldn,t upload the video so here is the link: Best handig als je even geen fysieke faders tot je beschikking hebt....😁 en altijd in sync met de software. In dit geval animation speed😊 | By Johan | Facebook

Thanks so much for sharing this, Johan - really cool to see how you’re using the Launchpad X! I’ve actually got a Launchpad Mini myself, so I’ve definitely been thinking about how a controller like this could work with Liberation.

The main reason full customisable MIDI input hasn’t happened yet is just that it’s quite tricky to figure out how it should fit naturally into the interface - something flexible but still easy to use. I’ve been making some small steps towards it, but it’ll probably take a fair bit longer to fully implement, especially since it’s the kind of feature that really needs a few uninterrupted weeks of deep focus (which are a bit rare at the moment!).

That said, seeing posts like yours is super motivating - it’s great to know there’s interest in this kind of control, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind as things develop.

An OSC option could be fantastic. I usually use TouchOSC with my iPad Pro 12,9.

Doesn’t TouchOSC work with MIDI too? Could you use it with the MIDI send / receive system?
