Hi all! Just joined the Liberation train & excited to learn.
I produce transformational leadership development retreats and curated music events in austere locations. I’m the main technical/production advisor for Renegade Maskerade, a renegade crew in San Francisco, and have helped with events from a couple other renegade crews there including SF Hiking Club. All of this is outside my “day job” which recently relocated me to New Jersey - I’m just starting to get involved in the underground scene there.
I started my laser journey with a Lasercube 2.5 Ultra and just picked up two older X-Laser Skywriter 2M’s.
Welcome to both the X-Laser family and the Liberation family!
You’re starting precisely how I did. We bought out 1st Skywrite before mercury was a thing.
Hit me uo on Facebook if you need anything, happy to help out.
We actually already chatted on facebook - I’m eagerly awaiting the Mercury firmware update so that Liberation will talk directly to it without a DAC ![]()
Hello Ian seen your post on pulse can you send a link or tell me more
Linky: Pulse – Hybrid Constructs
you can download it and you get 100,000 free beats, then it stops outputting until you activate it - I used it for 7 hours at a rave with D&B music pushing 180bpm’s and still only blew through half the free beats.
It uses Ableton Link, so this was my setup:
-Scarlett audio interface taking a daisy-chained input from a speaker
-Ableton Lite open in background with Ableton Link active
-Pulse taking in audio, processing, and sending midi timecode to Liberation with timing set to external midi
worked like a charm!
