i cant seem to figure out how to navigate which clip page i’m on with apc mini, is this currently possible? the buttons on my apc mini only let me choose clips on the first page or so
if i had a more featured midi controller would i just use a knob to select which page i’m on or something?
I’m using apc mini version 1, what buttons are those? I’m pretty sure I pushed all the buttons and it didn’t work but I’ll keep trying. Would be helpful if the photo wasn’t cropped and you circled the buttons you’re referring to. But I’ll poke around some more today and see if I can get it working
i just tried this. no buttons on my apc mini will navigate to other clip pages. its stuck on the far left of the clip area. if push any of the bottons along the bottom with the arrows next to them (like in your picture) they just trigger other clips just like the rest of the buttons.
custom midi mapping would be cool in the future.
how are people navigating to other clip pages? do i need to use another midi controller until midi mapping is added as a feature?
@mrfloppy88 is exactly right - at the moment only the APC Mini MK2 is supported.
The APC Mini MK1 isn’t supported at all, so clip paging (and really anything else) is not expected to work. If you’re seeing clips trigger, that’s likely just incidental overlap in MIDI notes rather than intentional support. I’m honestly a bit surprised it’s being picked up at all.
I mentioned the MK1 compatibility situation in a very recent thread here. It’s usually worth having a quick search on the forum if something seems odd, as it often comes up already:
Longer term, proper custom MIDI mapping is on my list, which will make controllers like the MK1 much easier to support.
