Vectorizing SVG Images

Hi All

Continuing my journey with Liberation.

TLDR: Attempting to import SVG designs for use with Liberation. I’m still seeing a lot of noise when using the “Vectorize” tool for Illustrator for IPad. Should I attempt to manually trace as suggested (doesn’t appear to be an option in the IPad version)? If I do manually trace, how to I ensure that the layer is transparent?

When I vectorize using outside software I obtain the following result; much cleaner and no longer interpreting the white, but skewing the concentric circles into flat geometry. As you can seen the bench and the sign are more or less intact, but the tunnel is not. Ideas?

I’ve included the evolution of the topic in images below.

I’m not seeing the images but tracing by hand with a path tool in Illustrator or Inkscape will give the best results. If you’ve used something to convert from raster to vector you could try running simplify path tool on it which removes points by averaging them out.
