I use my step sequencer to capture / create laser loops for live playback. I think it would be cool if it could be done in the box as the infrastructure is seemingly there. What I envision is utilizing the looper on the timeline in short form, set to 2-8 bars with record on. To make this possible on the fly, Im guessing a macro keypress or a foot pedal trigger that wipes the running loop, sets beat quantization, enables record. It could auto stop capturing at the end of the first play through or have an overdub mode.
