No MTC support? And can't use virtual audio cables to use LTC instead!?

Hi! Loving Liberation as usual, but finally leveling up and integrating it with giant industrial robot control (long story), so I need to send liberation timecode and have it’s timeline controlled and synced with another program (Chataigne). Both of these are running on the same PC, so I was hoping to use a simple midi loopback to send MTC from Chataigne to Liberation - only to finally realize the reason it would not work is because Liberation has midi tempo/clock support, but no MTC support :frowning:

So I begrudgingly installed not one, but two virtual audio cable programs for windows (Virtual Audio Cable, and VB-Audio) - so I could have Chataigne send LTC (audio) out instead, then pull this in on the other end of the virtual audio cable inside Liberation. However Liberation refuses to show any of the virtual sound devices as selectable options as inputs. Searching the forum, it seems this is because the recent rework to block some buggy asio drivers was too broad in scope and blocked all these in the process :frowning:

Is there any chance of having either of these issues remedied anytime soon? If not one or the other, I’m going to have to pick up a cheap USB audio interface just to connect the output right back into it’s input :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi Jon,

Wow industrial robot sounds super fun! I can’t wait to see it!

Both of these requests are fixed in the upcoming builds. MTC is implemented (and ArtnetTC). And I’ve changed how Windows blocks buggy ASIO drivers (and made the list editable).

Not sure when the release will be but I am aiming for the end of this month.

All the best,

Seb

Wow! Insanely fast reply, and both issues fixed in the next build!? You are a mad man. pic for attention

Keep the pics comin @fohdeesha ! Can’t wait to try the newest release, @Seb !
