Liberation worked faultlessly, same cant be said of the op :D

Sat 9th Sept and I was in London at Koko for what is my favorite gig of the year, this year it was a second go as the annual Peach reunion was suplemented by this celebration of the events 30th year.
It was my first proper gig using Liberation and my setup had been (as far as i am concened) compromised by the last two events having an enormous video wall.
I hate video.
Let me qualify that - and I know people will not like me saying, and theres no need to tell me why Im wrong, I know I am but for me its laser. Not sound, not lights, not video. Nothing but laser.
A lot of video is pointless, some is very, very good when done well with good content and when appropriate. And for this kind of event I really dont understand how its worth it, but what do I know…cos I hate video
Anyway, the venue, Koko (formerly the Camden Palace) is a tough gig anyway as there is nowhere to terminate other than the insanely high ceiling or one of two narrow balcony fronts. That with the limited rigging positions means it not easy even if i had just two projectors. This time I wasnt happy having anything on the floor as one tripod was kicked in April by one of the dozens of people who were not on stage…well at least that what I was promised. Anyway thats just me moaning - on to Liberation!
I used 8 lasers 2x 7.5W laser cube ultras (on ilda for now  ), 2x lightspace unicorn 11W and 4x Opt 4w. Due to limited rigging they were as good as mounted in pairs with one of each pair going onto the low balcony face and the other to the upper balcony. Control was with my dreamrack - 4 x etherdream with estop control, network switch, power etc and 4 running off my old software/hardware rack (similarly equipped with everything neatly wired) converted from old hardware to Laserdocks, for this event. The USB was sent over house cat5 using icron 2204 extender. Data to etherdreams combined with stop/start signal on a second house cat5.
I spent some time making clips to mimic as close as I could my fave ‘go to’ old software cues, and arranged/grouped them in a way that probs isnt as Seb intended but what worked for me and was logical enough for me to easily use on the night without too much thinking - which is important for a thicko like me  the only thing that irked me a little was due to a bit of pressure during a tight setup/load in time, I had 6 lasers in epic symetry and one pair with one that was a bit on the lob, which bummed me out but it was too late to do anything about.
I need to do some work on my clips as well as making more, though I did create some on the go as the show went on, which was cool too
All i can say is Liberation was outstanding, its the future, and at this point for live work, I cant see a way back.
Thanks seb for your outstanding work, support and freindship.
heres the event flyer and a couple of punter shots
