- mouse work: hold control to slow down slider/value boxes, ctrl+shift for even more granular (my mouse can’t hit the exact val!)
- right click reset to defaults
- scrollwheel for sliders
- As dirty as this sounds, Pangolin integration (ie. like madmapper) so professionals can use units that already have DACs in their machines. That said, this software is making me consider selling 32 FB4’s.

Some good thought here!
+1 on the scroll wheel for sliders.
For granular values - CTRL+Click allows you to specify a value directly. So that might help you in the meantime.
+1 for the addtional granularity though.
Unfortunately, I think the Mango compatibility is a long shot. That would require them to actually liscense the SDK and considering how scared theyre acting of Liberation, I dont see that happening this decade… but maybe Im wrong.
I have 40 some-odd FB4s I am getting ready to pull out of my machines as well in favor of ED4s …or Mercury (once X-Laser gets the streaming protocol working properly to Mercury.) To be honest, with how Liberation is shaping up, personally I see zero upside to keeping FB4s in machines unless you do a lot of cross rentals (which I get completely).
Hey @sigma1
Sorry for the delay replying to this, I’ve been taking a couple of days break, well deserved I can assure you
Thanks so much for taking the time to post these suggestions and your kind words, it means a lot.

All good ideas, would require a fairly major UI rework but something that will definitely happen in the future. In the meantime : CMD/CTRL click on a slider to type the value in manually. For draggable number fields you can double click to type into them.
- right click reset to defaults
I think I prefer a reset button (which already exists on some components) but yes will consider it.

The official line :
To encourage greater interoperability between software and hardware, Liberation will only support DACs that have a published communication protocol. I believe that this is the best way forward for the laser industry.

Love this, the built-in windows / Mac systems seem somewhat lacking though so I’ll need to build it myself. It’s quite the task so not super high on the list but will need to add it in future.
Thanks again for your feedback and kind words!
