Cross fading clips in Liberation

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to lasers but not to design; with a show coming up in July; I’ve had to crash course most of the essentials.

We’ll be using the LaserCube 7.5W Ultra Mk II a little unconventionally. While open to using it the way that lasers are typically used for a show with music (tempo matching, vibe catching, etc) our primary use case is as a virtual backdrop against a black cyc; creating basic geometry and world building. This requires quite a bit of original artwork and my attention has largely been consumed by finding a reliable conversion-process for this rather large pipeline.

But I’m also turning my attention now to animation (both within laser frames or clips) and between clips themselves. Ideally, I would love to be able to sync clips to our music, and then hit cues, fading in and out of designs, “cross dissolve”, etc.

Is this possible in Liberation, either manually or automatically? If not, are there any workarounds that you might suggest?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Sounds cool!

if you’re asking specifically about cross fading clips then you can set an in and out time in the clip’s right click menu. You can give the clip a specific fade in and out time or use the clip group’s default value (which you can set in the group’s right click menu).

Hope this helps

Seb
